The Village Cottage is a self catering homestay located just 3 kilometres from Praid, the famous Salt Valley and The Praid Live Butterfly House, just 20 minutes from Sovata with its beautiful Bear Lake, spas and a wide choice of restaurants.
The artisan pottery village of Corund is just 5 kilometres and attractions such as the Straw Hat Museum, Heart of Jesus Statue and Mini Transylvania Park are all within an easy drive.
Full tourist information is provided in a binder in the room.
It is the perfect getaway for couples, solo female travellers, small families and people who 'work from home'.

The Village Cottage, once the village gambling house, has been saved from demolition and renovated in a traditional but modern country style with lots of added details and little luxuries. The Terrace Room and The Garden Room.
The Village Cottage offers absolute peace and quiet, away from the crowd, in the stunning countryside surroundings of a friendly village full of rustic charm, welcoming locals and with beautiful walks with fabulous views right from the door.
The entire top floor of this one hundred year old cottage has been converted into an extremely spacious, light and stylish modern guest suite with vintage accents offering peace and privacy.
The room has its own private terrace overlooking the garden and the forest beyond.

  • Superfast Internet is available 24 hours Free of Charge.
  • Guests are given keys to the suite and the front gates and can come and go as they please.
  • Guests are advised to have their own car.
  • There are two hammocks in the garden in warmer weather and a fire pit for cooking on or just sitting round.
  • There are several general stores within walking distance of the cottage run by friendly locals who speak both Hungarian and Romanian.
  • There is free parking outside the house.
Check in time is from 4 pm to 9 pm.
Check out is by 10 am.

We have a capacity of over 20 people simultaneously in our apartments and we are open all year round including holidays and vacations.
