Located just 11 km from Odorheiu Secuiesc, on the edge of Máréfalva—a village famous for its traditional carved Székely gates—Patakzug Guesthouse is an ideal retreat for nature lovers. Nestled in the valley of the Máréfalvi Stream, right next to the forest, this self-catering guesthouse welcomes families and groups of friends seeking relaxation amidst mountain views, fresh air, and the soothing sound of flowing water.
Built with a blend of brick and timber, the guesthouse is rented as a whole unit, giving guests exclusive access to the entire building and yard. The ground floor features a spacious living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom. The upper floor offers four comfortable bedrooms and a second bathroom, accommodating up to 9 guests with extra capacity for up to 11. The room layout is practical: two bedrooms feature a double bed each, the third includes a double bed and a pull-out double sofa, while the fourth contains a double bed and a single bed.
A highlight of the property is the traditional "Székely Jacuzzi"—a heated wooden hot tub that seats 6 to 8 people. Containing 3,500 liters of water with a 2-meter diameter, it can be enjoyed outdoors in any season. Because preparing the hot tub (draining, cleaning, disinfecting, refilling, and heating) takes 12 to 15 hours, guests are kindly requested to notify the hosts at least two days prior to arrival if they wish to use it.
