This is not the first time that the two performers from Cluj-Napoca have visited us. We have seen them separately on several concerts in Miercurea Ciuc, but they performed together here last in 2019.

Violinist Melinda Béres completed her university studies at the Gheorghe Dima National Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca. Her professional development was shaped by numerous masterclasses. She participated among others in courses given by Florin Paul, Sándor Végh, Ana Tschumatschenko, Alexandru Gavrilovici, Sándor Devich, Ferenc Gábor and Mira Glodeanu.
She has performed as soloist with the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and with the philharmonic orchestras of Cluj-Napoca, Târgu Mureș, Oradea, and Sibiu. She is currently lecturer at the Gheorghe Dima National Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca.
Pianist Edit Horváth also completed her studies at the Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca. She was a scholarship holder at the European Mozart Academy in Warsaw, where she had the opportunity to work with world-renowned masters and perform in chamber ensembles at international festivals.
She has given solo recitals and chamber concerts in Romania and abroad (Poland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Hungary, Switzerland) and has performed as a soloist with the philharmonic orchestras of Târgu Mureș, Cluj-Napoca, Oradea, and Sibiu. She is currently an associate professor in the piano department of the Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca.

Concert supported by the Bethlen Gábor Fund Management Ltd. from Hungary, by the Mayor's Office of Miercurea Ciuc, by Cinema Csíki Mozi and the Ciuc Chamber Orchestra Association.
