The Pentecost Pilgrimage at Şumuleu Ciuc/Csíksomlyó will take place this year on June 7.
As in previous years, pilgrims are warmly invited to spiritual programs, holy masses, and night vigils between June 6 and 9 – with open hearts, clear minds, and Franciscan fraternity.
This year’s motto: “Pilgrims of Hope!”

Program

Friday, June 6
  • 5:00 PM – Festive Rosary with Radio Maria, in multiple languages
  • 6:00 PM – Opening Mass
  • Overnight vigil in the pilgrimage church
Saturday, June 7
  • 7:30 AM – Holy Mass, Franciscan Church of Şumuleu Ciuc/Csíksomlyó
  • 10:30 AM – Festive Rosary at the "Hármashalom" Altar
  • 10:30 AM – Pilgrimage procession (cordon) departs from the church square toward the "Hármashalom" Altar
  • 12:30 PM – Holy Mass at the "Hármashalom" Altar
  • 5:00 PM – Csángó Holy Mass at the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Church
  • 6:00 PM – Holy Mass of Pentecost, Franciscan Church of Şumuleu Ciuc
  • Overnight vigil in the pilgrimage church
Sunday, June 8 – Pentecost Sunday
  • Holy Masses at 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 10:30 AM, and 6:00 PM
Monday, June 9 – Pentecost Monday
  • Holy Masses at 8:00 AM, 10:30 AM, and 6:00 PM
The main celebrant of this year's pilgrimage will be Archbishop Gergely Kovács of the Archdiocese of Alba Iulia. The festive preacher will be Camillian friar Fr. Alfréd György.
