No real Cabbage Festival is complete without the famous Cabbage-Chopping Game! Every year, this cheerful competition brings laughter and excitement to the fairground.

Teams of children playing “families” head to the cabbage field by cart, bring back the harvest, and take on different roles: the farmwife trades the cabbage for boots, the farmer cooks, the drummer cheers, and the horses pull the cart. Everyone works together to win!

Speed and skill matter, but so do teamwork, creativity and good humour. The game preserves old traditions, brings children together and creates fun for all ages – building a bridge between past and present.
