About

Ferenc Siklódy, a graphic artist from Miercurea Ciuc, began an ambitious project over twenty years ago that resulted in nearly 400 etchings — a portrait gallery of Székely Land’s visual artists, as well as depictions of craftsmen, woodcarvers, and sign painters of regional importance. His portraits trace the history of art in Székely Land from its beginnings to the present, featuring both well-known and lesser-known creators whose contributions are invaluable.
The documentary portraits are accompanied by original works of the depicted artists and objects illustrating the etching process.
Curators: Zoltán Ferencz and Botond Részegh.
Partners: Haáz Rezső Museum, Mureș County Museum, Székely National Museum, and Tarisznyás Márton Museum.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Dr. Aranka Karda-Markaly, Director of the Csíki Székely Museum, and Attila Korodi, Mayor of Miercurea Ciuc.
The exhibition will be opened by Ágnes Képiró, art historian and museologist at the Damjanich János Museum in Szolnok.
The exhibition remains open until November 20, 2025.
All are warmly invited to attend.
