Róbert Sebestyén was born in 1975 in Csíkszereda (Miercurea Ciuc). He completed his secondary education in 1994 at the Nagy István High School of Music and Fine Arts in Csíkszereda. He pursued his university studies in sculpture at the West University of Timișoara, where he obtained his degree in 1999.
The present exhibition features a selection of works created over the past ten years.
“For me, creation is a symbolic activity that fully engages my attention. Due to my eclectic approach, I am interested in all materials, especially natural and organic ones, which offer rich possibilities of expression. For me, there is no such thing as a foreign material.”
Róbert Sebestyén is currently a sculpture teacher at the Nagy István Art High School in Csíkszereda. He lives and works in Csíkszépvíz (Szépvíz).
