For those, who would like to try some of the crafts, we offer the experience of doing-it-yourself assisted by professionals. The gardon is a musical instrument carved from wood. It resembles a cello, but its body is sculpted from a single piece of wood. At the workshop in Boros Valley, visitors can delve into the secrets of creating this instrument and follow the entire process as the wood comes to life step by step, transforming into a true wonder. Carving the gardon is a fascinating process from start to finish. As the excess material is removed and the final shape of the instrument takes form, each step represents a rebirth of the wood. During the workshop visit, visitors can see how a Gyimes gardon is made or what tools are used in the workshop.

I'm Mircse Ildikó, a master weaver living in Szeklerland, who is happy to show you the weaving process from thread to the finished product. On request, children's activities can be organised in the workshop, during which children weave small items.

Kemecse Ceramic Workshop started its craft activity in 2013. In their product collection they have twice-fired glazed ceramic dishes of different shapes, sizes and functionality. These can be used for hot and cold liquids, but also preparing and serving food, and they are also washable. The shape of the dishes follows clear lines, as does the unique decoration which is made with a so-called scratch technique. They have participated at several fairs with their collection. They also organize open workshops for their visitors upon request. Beside aesthetics, they are also working on perfecting the products’ functionality. The decorations are designed using old Szekler and Hungarian motifs that are inspired by folk tales, natural forms and archetypes.

Welcome to our countryside! GALFFIS chocolate is the first chocolate factory in Transylvania. Visitors to their factory will be shown the secrets of chocolate making. Our showroom can accommodate up to 25 people. Visitors can listen to our chocolate history lecture while enjoying our finest own-brand coffees and teas. Our cosy terrace can accommodate up to 15 people. GALFFIS offers a Family-friendly programme: • we are presenting the history of the chocolate factory from its beginnings to the present day • a demonstration of chocolate making from cocoa bean to bar • a short introduction to coffee roasting • the highlight of the programme is a tasting of chocolate specialities  The duration of the demonstration and tasting is approximately 35-45 minutes. The cheese workshop in Gheorgheni/Gyergyószentmiklós was opened in 2017 by Rural Development Gheorgheni/Gyergyószentmiklós. Its primary aim is to show visitors cheesemaking and the ingredients used to make healthy dairy products. They are showint their guests the cheese maturing process, the tools used to make cheese and the maturing cellar, where the cheeses are treated for up to 4 years. Visitors will be able to taste some of the best-known cheeses made from raw milk, matured for a long time and natural yoghurt. The program includes: • guided tour, • demonstration of cheese making, • milking, • product tasting (cheeses, yoghurt, scones, dry white wine), • possibility to buy products. The programme can be customized for individuals and groups and takes on average 1 hour. Groups are limited to 50 people at a time. On request, a presentation of the herbs and spices typical of the region can be organised. Visit the Krausz chocolate workshop, where you can learn how artisan chocolates are made, and how a little cacao bean makes its way into an elegant box. You will also taste different flavoured chocolates made with carefully selected and local ingredients. The small family business welcomes visitors to its workshop in Sântimbru/Csíkszentimre!
